For Saturday, October 31st, we have a few different options available. I have reached out to Joan Goldblatt and Shelley Tennant about reserving GERB 142 (the Regents conference room). It seats maximum 53, so it would be a bit cozy.
Alternatively, I have put in a request to reserve HUB 309 and HUB 310 all day Saturday. Here are the details from the reservation. If any changes need to be made, or if you have suggestions for other rooms to look into reserving for Saturday, please comment or e-mail me
Update 6/22: It looks like we will probably be able to secure HUB 309 and 310 for Saturday - still haven't heard about GERB. I think it might be easier to just stick with the HUB, since it seems most conference spaces on the weekends are closed or not available somehow unless we know someone in the department that manages the space.

JULY 1st Meeting Agenda and Updates
Hello everyone!
It looks like we can all meet on JULY 1st at 5:30 PM.
In the meantime, here is the agenda:
- Finalize schedule
- Speakers list
- Getting legislators
- Invitation list
Also, I've come up with a registration website on Catalyst, so if you could all take a look and make suggestions, that would be helpful. Feel free to email me with suggestions, or bring suggestions to the meeting:
https://catalysttools.washington.edu/webq/survey/gpsspa/79407
Finally, here are the group estimates for the hotel rooms:
Hotel Deca - $115 (I'm assuming + tax) for a double
Watertown - $159 + tax for a double
University Inn - $135 + tax for a double
If you'd like to add anything else onto the agenda, please let me know. I will be updating the blog with this information.
Thank you,
Liz

Peterson Room alternatives
Hi everyone,
The Peterson Room is unavailable for weekend reservations, so I'm trying to come up with alternatives.
1) The South Campus Center - http://depts.washington.edu/sauf/scc/sccres/354.php
They have an area called the Crow's Nest, which over looks Portage Bay -- it's very nice and I've had receptions there. The capacity, however, is a max of 45, maybe 50. The SCCC also has larger meeting areas, which aren't as aesthetically attractive, but they all over look Portage Bay, which has a great view. There are also smaller classrooms which could serve as break out areas.
2) A hotel with conference space would get the job done, but it's not on campus, and I've never dealt with hotels in this capacity before. I get the feeling the prices would be pretty reasonable, however.
3) The HUB Ballroom and meeting rooms.
Let me know what you all think.
Liz
